2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 Launched in India at Rs 7.91 Lakh
Kawasaki has introduced the 2026 Ninja 650 in the Indian market with a revised price tag of Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest model year brings a marginal price increase of Rs 14,000 over the outgoing version, while also meeting the latest E20 fuel compliance norms.
What’s New for 2026?
The most notable update on the MY26 Ninja 650 is its upgraded engine that now supports E20 ethanol-blended fuel. Despite this change, the motorcycle retains the same performance figures and mechanical setup as before. In India, the Ninja 650 is now offered in a single Lime Green paint scheme with refreshed graphics.
Engine and Performance
Powering the Ninja 650 is a 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. It delivers 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 62.1Nm of torque, ensuring a smooth and approachable riding experience suitable for both city use and highway touring.
Chassis, Suspension and Brakes
The motorcycle continues to use an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock for suspension duties. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. Braking performance comes from dual 300mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, supported by ABS as standard.
Verdict
While the Ninja 650’s E20 compliance is a welcome update, the lack of feature additions or new colour choices may leave some enthusiasts wanting more. Still, it remains a reliable and refined middleweight sportbike option in India.
