Hyundai Creta Crosses 2 Lakh Annual Sales in 2025
Hyundai Motor India has achieved a major milestone as the Creta SUV recorded over 2 lakh unit sales in calendar year 2025, making it the brand’s highest-ever annual performer. The milestone coincides with the Creta completing a decade in the Indian market, further cementing its leadership in the mid-size SUV segment.
Hyundai Creta Price in India (2025)
The Hyundai Creta is currently available in India at the following price range (ex-showroom):
- Petrol variants: ₹11.00 lakh – ₹18.20 lakh
- Diesel variants: ₹12.45 lakh – ₹20.15 lakh
- Turbo-petrol variants: ₹16.00 lakh onwards
- Electric variant (Creta EV): ₹19.99 lakh onwards
Prices vary based on variant, transmission, and city.
Strong Market Performance
Hyundai confirmed that the Creta now commands a market share of over 34% in the mid-size SUV segment. It has also been the highest-selling SUV in India on a cumulative basis from 2020 to 2025.
Powertrain Options
The Creta offers one of the widest powertrain choices in its segment:
- 1.5L Naturally Aspirated Petrol
- 1.5L Turbo Petrol
- 1.5L Diesel
- All-Electric Powertrain
Hyundai revealed that customer preference currently stands at a 60:40 ratio in favour of petrol models.
Growing Popularity Among Buyers
According to Hyundai, the Creta’s customer base has evolved significantly over the years. First-time buyers now account for nearly 32% of total sales, compared to just 13% in 2020.
Additionally, more than 70% of customers in 2025 opted for sunroof-equipped variants, reflecting rising demand for premium features.

Commenting on the achievement, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO Designate of Hyundai Motor India, said that the Creta’s journey in India has been exceptional and that its success reflects growing customer trust, evolving aspirations, and Hyundai’s focus on innovation.
