Nissan India is laying the groundwork for a major revival in 2026 with an ambitious product rollout. Alongside the upcoming Nissan Tekton SUV, positioned as a challenger to the Hyundai Creta, the brand is also preparing to enter the sub-compact MPV space with the Nissan Gravite.
Built on the Renault Triber’s platform, the Gravite is expected to make its Indian market debut in January 2026, with deliveries likely to begin soon after launch. Nissan recently teased the model during its name announcement event, and those official visuals have inspired new renderings that preview the MPV’s possible final design.
Design Highlights: Familiar Yet Distinct
As seen in the render, the Nissan Gravite adopts a clean and modern design approach that closely mirrors its Renault counterpart. The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged from the Triber, though Nissan is likely to introduce newly designed alloy wheels to add brand-specific character.
Where the Gravite truly sets itself apart is at the front. The MPV features a noticeably more assertive face with a broader grille, inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, and robust silver accents on the bumper. These elements combine to give the Gravite a stronger and more SUV-inspired road presence.
Rear Styling and Badging
At the rear, the Gravite is expected to wear distinct “Gravite” badging positioned below the Nissan emblem. The bumper continues the theme of chunky silver inserts, visually enhancing the vehicle’s width. The tail-lamps appear slimmer and more premium, connected by a subtle silver strip across the tailgate, lending the MPV a cohesive and refined look.
With its differentiated styling and practical MPV credentials, the Nissan Gravite is set to play a key role in Nissan’s renewed push in the Indian market.
