River Indie Electric Scooter Gets New Updates and Higher Price
Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer River has rolled out an updated version of its Indie electric scooter in India. The refreshed model brings small yet useful upgrades, along with a noticeable increase in its ex-showroom price.

- Chain drive system replaces the earlier belt drive
- Single-speed gearbox introduced
- Two new colour options – Grey and White
Updated Price in India
The latest version of the River Indie now costs more than before due to the added features and hardware changes.
- New price: ₹1.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Earlier price: ₹1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Price increase: ₹18,000
Design and Storage Remain Unchanged
Visually, the electric scooter continues with its rugged and boxy styling. The split LED headlamp setup and tough-looking body panels are retained, keeping the Indie’s utilitarian identity intact.
River has also carried forward its impressive storage capacity, making it one of the most practical electric scooters in the segment.
