Tata Harrier Petrol Launched with New 1.5L TGDi Engine and Fearless Ultra Variant

Tata Motors has officially unveiled the petrol-powered version of the Harrier SUV for the Indian market, bringing significant mechanical and feature upgrades. Along with the new petrol engine, the company has also introduced the Fearless Ultra variant, which now sits at the top of the Harrier lineup.

New Fearless Ultra Variant Highlights

The newly added Fearless Ultra trim enhances the Harrier’s premium appeal and will also be available in the Red Dark Edition, offering a sportier and more aggressive exterior design. This variant focuses on advanced comfort, technology, and safety features.

Major Feature Upgrades

With the petrol update, the Tata Harrier receives a host of new features, including:

  • A large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Dolby Atmos sound support

  • Digital IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror)

  • Memory ORVMs with auto-dipping functionality

  • Enhanced Level 2 ADAS features

  • Upgraded 65W Type-C USB charging ports for faster charging

  • Front and rear cameras with washer functionality

  • sliding centre armrest, replacing the earlier fixed unit

These updates further strengthen the Harrier’s position in the premium midsize SUV segment.

New 1.5-Litre TGDi Petrol Engine

Under the hood, the Harrier Petrol is powered by Tata’s all-new 1.5-litre TGDi (Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection) engine, delivering:

  • 168 bhp of power

  • 280 Nm of peak torque

The engine is offered with:

  • 6-speed manual transmission

  • 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission

This new powertrain aims to deliver a refined driving experience with strong performance.

Tata Harrier Price in India
