Social media chatter has highlighted a potential Sleeper Vande Bharat between New Delhi and Patna slated for launch on October 2, 2026. The claim, however, has not been confirmed by Indian Railways. The idea stems from the successful introduction of the Kamakhya‑Howrah Sleeper Vande Bharat, but official schedules and operational details are still pending. First Vande Bharat Freight Train Hits 130 kmph in Trial

In a milestone for high‑speed freight, the first Vande Bharat Freight EMU, built by Chennai‑based Integral Coach Factory (ICF), achieved a top speed of 130 kmph during a trial on the Ahmedabad–Mumbai Central route. The 16‑coach train is designed to haul parcels and time‑sensitive goods at higher speeds, targeting e‑commerce, pharmaceuticals, cold‑chain and electronics logistics. Surat Gets Its First Vande Bharat Service to Udaipur

On August 31, the Railway Board approved a new Vande Bharat link between Surat and Udaipur City, designated as train numbers 26903/26904. The 690‑km journey will take approximately 7 hours 30 minutes and run six days a week, with Tuesday as the off day. Departures are scheduled for 6:10 am from Surat, arriving at Udaipur at 1:40 pm, while the return leaves Udaipur at 3:35 pm and reaches Surat at 11 pm.
